Who cares when it was taken, it's just a wonderful classic historic photo. What a beauty!

Sorry for stating that the date was 1986, the slide imprint was very light. I rechecked the slide using a jeweler's loop and saw that the date was 1981 and corrected the date. By the way, that was a great day, you could even smell the JP-4.
I flew to Greece many times on that bird. Many memories!
That was an old plane in 1981. Taken just before the PATCO strike.

N782TW turned out to be a DC-9. But N762TW turned out to be a 707 (including some TWA livery on Google Images.
Flew this plane many times on a night flight out of Sky Harbor. Flight #88 departed around midnight, arrived IAD (Dulles) about 4:45AM. Great plane, loved it. Can still see the flight attendants moving the smoking area cards in the back of the seats. Those were the days my friends.
