The USAF s/n for this Boeing C-135B-BN Stratolifter was 61-2669 with a Boeing c/n of 18345.

"...converted to WC-135B. To MASDC as CA0003 Jul 21, 1972, but returned to service Nov 8, 1972. Later used as 'Speckled Trout' research aircraft and redesignated C-135C. Named after Faye Trout, the civilian program monitor at the Lab, 1975-2006. Also the personal transport of the USAF Chief of Staff. Assigned to 412th Flight Test Squadron (412 FLTS), Air Force Material Command (AFMC) at Edwards AFB, California. Still at Edwards AFB. Scheduled to be replaced in Mar 2003 by 57-2589. Made last flight Jan 13, 2006. Officially retired Feb 10, 2006. Still there Oct 2006 as "Speckled Trout". Now with the Edwards AFB Museum, California."
