Flew in for the first time to Monroe/Charlotte Executive Airport and was very impressed. Airport has a great location, ILS and a long runway. Charlotte has Clearance Delivery on the ground which is nice. The FBO and staff are top notch with good crew facilities. SS 100LL and Jet A are significantly cheaper, paid $3.80/gal. Cessna 310 |

Great & long relationship with KEQY, for years.
My father took flight training here, instrument rating here and is one of the best airports in NC. They offer great a great hanger and aircraft maintenance. Excellent service. Great flight training program, and good aircraft rental program. We have kept our Twin Engine Barron at KEQY for years, hanger crew was excellent and always careful. Fuel truck is prompt. The airport has really upgraded its facilities since the 90ies. , the new building has the works as mentioned (WSI, TV, Supplies, Lounge, Showers). The runway was extended and upgraded lights and ILS. KEQY, has done a great job keeping up with the times and upgrading the facility & is the premier executive airport serving the Charlotte Area. If you are visiting the Charlotte area, this is one of the better airports to fly into. Just take HWY 74 into Charlotte, not to far from down town. Even race weekend, this is a better airport to fly into, due to over capacity and race team flights out of Concord Regional. Five out of Five Stars!

Excellent FBO. Very nice and clean with everything you need as a pilot. They even have a shower and private bath for pilots. But most importantly, the people there are really nice and helpful. The people make the FBO. Five stars !!!!!!!! Piper Navajo |

Great service. Marty and Dawn were fantastic. Rental car was ready when I was and provided a planeside recovery of bags. Wanted an alternative to the $50 ramp fee and congestion of CLT and this was it. Overnight fees were waived with fuel. Much cheaper than CLT and home base. Topped off here and tankered home prices so good! Highly recommend. Picking up clearances tough. Found a single spot on the apron where I had good comms with clearance. Sweet spot is northside of and close to the terminal building. Don't try picking up at departure end of 05. No joy there. My cell batt was dead or I would have called. All in all..great experience! Cessna 400 |
