737 Max 10 could be lucky 13 for Boeing

제출됨

A 13th passenger-carrying version of the Boeing 737 is now being seriously pursued in Seattle. If launched later this year, the 230-passenger 737 Max 10 would be 1.68m (66in) longer than the 737 Max 9 and 15.1m longer than the 737-100 that first flew 50 years ago in April. I guess with the newer and more powerful engines, this aircraft will continue growing until it's as large, but not as wide as the 767. Just flew transcontinental twice in the last month on B-739's and it takes well over 30 minutes to load and unload the passengers from the rear of the aircraft. That might be the biggest problem with and extra 45 feet of body unless they provide rear loading doors.

We are all still suffering through the "Catch 22" baggage charge, which encourages folks to carry on their luggage. You should see the "stuff" they are stuffing in the overhead. This also takes too much time.

I think the airlines need to go back to restrictions. Some airlines are still strict on carry on weight and baggage size. Some seem to be letting on anything and the rest of us suffer as they stuff over-size bags in the overhead bins and the rest of us fudging around the isles trying to find a space to fit a regulation carry on. Seem to pass many at the customer services desk having arguments about excess baggage.
