Emirates lands in Doha with world’s shortest A380 flight

Thursday, December 1, 2016 — 1 December 2016 – DUBAI, UAE – Emirates today launched the world’s shortest scheduled A380 service, flying a distance of 379 kilometres with a total travel time of 1 hour and 20 minutes from Dubai to Doha, and 1 hour 10 minutes on the return journey. The A380 flight touched down this morning at Hamad International Airport, taxiing in to a water cannon salute and was welcomed by key officials and trade guests at an Emirates reception at the terminal. This is the advertised first flight with the A380.

Lots of cargo space on the plane for handling UPS and FedEx subcontracting importing economy 2-5 day delivery to Qatar which it doesn't have. I'm sure the UAE has profits in mind.

We were stuffed into one in 2015 from Frankfurt to Charles de Gaulle I hr 2 minutes or reality 10 minutes sprinting down terminal A for the connection time, two times through customs check, boarding was admittedly fast Lufthansa Marsch an Bord Menschen jetzt! taxi time 5 minutes flight time just over an hour taxi another 5 minutes then März von Flugzeug jetzt!

While it is great that Emirates wants to blow their own horn about the world's shortest A380 flight, the might want to do some research about aircraft.."world’s largest commercial aircraft" is incorrect...world's largest passenger aircraft yes but world’s largest commercial aircraft...the AN225

Hehehe Qatar has a ruler that gives money and stocks to citizens every year. One year the stocks given by the emir was given with telling them they should not sell the stocks. In a years time the stocks turned into over a million dollars value. That's just one of the years. So as you can see it's too time consuming for them to hire a small private jet so they just lower themselves to flying first class.
