— — - Sunderland/Sandringham (conversion) in the lagoon at Lord Howe Island (c1971). Photo taken from the shore as the craft was exactly balanced with both pontoons clear of the water on a perfectly calm day. (Sorry about the photo quality - it has been restored from a very small transparency.) Flying boat operations to Lord Howe ceased in 1974.
