BOEING 737-400 (N804TJ) - SWQ's N804TJ, a B734, is on the climb from KRNO's 16R and headed south for KLAS with the University of Nevada Reno "Wolfpack" football team. The Swift Air charter flight was taking the UNR team downstate to play the annual rivalry game against the University of Nevada Las Vegas "Rebels" to determine whether the paint on college football's largest and most expensive rivalry prize, the Fremont Cannon, would remain blue (the Wolfpack won last year's 2017 game) or would be repainted red. br /PS - The cannon is now in Las Vegas and until the 2019 rivalry game gets played, it will be painted red.

The Wolfpack took an early lead in the game, but the UNLV Rebels staged a great comeback and then held on to win the rivalry game and take possession of the Fremont Cannon. UNR will win it back next year.

Gman - if one looks at the 39 photos taken of this jet, it is mostly blue or red.....paint has been changed, but how interesting they use the Wolfpack vs Rebels colors...(jk of course) I missed one of these at RDD during last summer fires departing early at 7am as I drove into the work parking lot, the jet was departing south...I guess they repaint the jet to red belly? lol 5x
