The German airline OLT (OFD) makes several daily flights from the mainland to the dune of Heligoland.
Comments
This aircraft is really a mule... bit noisy but very useful.. I flew in Afica on the trilander, it was used to say that the rear engine was to permit to the rear passengers to have as much noise that in the front..lol
Worked on I's and tri's for 14 years built like a tank. great aircraft
Right on the DUNE!
Used to fly out to the villages on Kodiak Island in Island Air's several Islanders. Not even the island's notorious weather seem to keep them grounded.
D-IOLK. Britten-Norman BN-2B-26 Islander
hey serge, what rear engine?
hey serge, what rear engine?
Jesse: Serge talks about an other but similar aircraft. The trilander was the "big brother" of the islander with a third engine
There was an armed military version version called the Defender. Very useful piece of kit.
