Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFY)

I have been to this island in August. what location did you take this shot from? and how did you get there. it appears you were in the hills facing the airport.

Appears to be St.Maarten, Princess Julianna airport. The flight is gaining height rapidly before an aggressive turn to avoid the mountain that is the features of this unique destination.

Am I incorrect?

We had our holliday on the island last september 2015 and had the opportunity to see some planes land and take off.That was unforgettable!!!

You can see the planes take off and land because you are standing by a fence at not more than 30m from the airstrip!!!There is a small café with a pirate holding a surfboard and on that board there are the arrivals&departing times written on it.
