TOULOUSE, FRANCETurkish Airlines and American lessor Air Lease Corporation seem to trim their orders for the Airbus' best-selling A350 widebody jets.

FlightGlobal reported that the European planemaker's full-year backlog figures show the Turkish flag carrier has dropped three A350-900s from its order book, reducing the number of ordered aircraft to 20. On the other side, Air Lease has dropped two A350-900s and two A350-1000s.

The Los Angeles-based lessor has newly-ordered seven Airbus A350 freighters, but it raises the company’s net order for A350 family jets to 33 aircraft instead of 37.

Air Lease has so far taken delivery of 17 Airbus A350s, 12 -900s, and five larger -1000 variants, while Turkish Airlines has added five -900s to its fleet.

Airbus' A350 backlog comprises 917 jets, including seven A350 freighters of ALC. The company delivered 49 A350-900s, and six A350-1000s, and received 16 orders for the type.
