Yep - God was on his side. Same God that caused the crash, the file, the broken arm, etc. Pilot should have skipped praying and instead spent more time studying meteorology and flight safety.

I don't think he was flying that plane, he was just the co-pilot !

Love Lancair's comment. Reminds me of a case where a plane narrowly missed a woman's house but crashed into a neighbor's house, killing the man occupying the second house. The woman claimed that God had guided the plane away from her house. Using her logic, I guess God guided the plane right into her neighbor's house! Or maybe the neighbor didn't go to the "right" church.

I agree with LancairESP; you pilots should know the principals of physics allow a plane to fly, not the hand of god. Otherwise if you believe that if god was on the side of the Air King pilot, he must have been really pissed off at the 228 people on Air France 447.

Well Said!People need to take responsibility for their own actions and decisions instead of leaving it up to an imaginary deity.

My two cents don't mean anything, but being from Midland, flying from heavy mountain terrain now, I absolutely know that believing in God is not an excuse for not being diligent, working hard at subject knowledge. Tough to see when people want to make it a one or other choice. For me, I will employ every tool available to have the best chances for a safe outcome! Thanks for the comments. I always try to learn something from everyone's experience.
