i await with breathless anticipation southwest airlines ordering 787 aircraft for real route expansion to europe perhaps and south america as well. I hae never been mistreated on a southwest flight, the employees are far more cheerful than other airlines, and the bagage service is better by far. Southwest to London, Madrid, Frankfort, Rome, Dublin, Vienna, Buenos Aires, Rio, Santiago, - how about it?
And when do you think southwest may order them. Last I knew they when they merged with AirTran they got rid of anything not a Boeing 737. They always have and always will be a Boeing 737 customer at least for a long time to come.
i have been a southwest customer by choice since the days that it took four flights to get from fort lauderdale to the west coast. These folks know how to run a railroad, err airline. From three planes flying a triangle route structure in texas to becomeing like ants at a picnic, covering the united states and now central america, the other guys ought to take a lesson from southwest. If their eyes gaze to south america and/or europe, it is not going to be with 737's, but with 787's. this is wishful thinking of course, but i can hope...
