Seems that this "Pilot?" has issues about things that maybe should be investigated further ? and him being taken off of his duties to get some Mental help ASAP ?

Regardless what you've been told, holding right-wing opinions isn't a mental illness. The only thing this guy did wrong was violate sterile cockpit, which will be looked into accordingly.

Not sure why your post is being down voted, espically since this was a question. Clealy this pilot was letting their external stressors interfere with their job and flight duties. More to the point, radio communications appear to be after pushback, thus pilot would be in violation of the sterile cockpit rule. The pilot needs counseling on proper workplace conversations, counseling on stressor mana3gement and a flight review. It's that simple.

Southwest pilots can bid on their routes. There was zero excuse for this behavior in the cockpit during flight operations, period. Hopefully the pilot can learn this and keep their job.

I’d say that the pilot is merely expressing views about California which are held by a great many that have the misfortune to live there.

That "pilot" should be 100% focused on essential operational activities and be avoiding non-essential chat. They can express their views on Parler after work.

By the way, there is an open FAA investigation related to this.

Until very recently Parler had been shutdown. The political right in this country has had few outlets for public discourse.

Swa pilot needs to go to the cool-out room before he goes out on the road to play amongst the korean and japanese cars. Perhaps a blankee, a teddy bear, a popsicle and a cool wet washcloth to wash over that potty mouth.... Whatever irked him is still unresolved just as he is to roll into position and hold.... comforting thought?????? not really.. Hope he is not going to an airport where Japan Air Lines and Asiana and Korean Airlines also fly into. hostility issues abound here.......
