So it can do almost what an autopilot can do. Awesome job

I wonder what it would do if the engine quit? Attempt to maneuver around the houses/trees or just land straight ahead into a crowd! Can it operate the fuel selector or identify carb icing?

I was wondering how it did on the oral and pre-flight walkaround.

Someone tripped on the cord.

Rather like a car driving test then. Learn to pass the test, THEN learn to drive.

Drop in? Dumb deal it does take millions to do a jet fighter but not a Cessna AC never saw it do any more than push on the throttle no mixture changes or prop either. Looks like it works very rough at the best. Ho hum doesn't make sense go back to RC model plane people to take care of it.
Quirkyfrog
You mention Cessna. This should have probably started with small planes. Make a 172 able to fly with a robot 'pilot', and see how it does after a year. At least it wouldn't have an 'accident' and take out a plane load of people. Yikes...
