That tends to happen when you have a sale for $49.00s one way lol.
Now that stuff is starting to open people have a reason to travel. Ticket price is pretty meaningless when theme parks, casinos, hotels, etc are closed and you can't visit Grandma without a cavity search and a hazmat suit.

I was on a $29 one-way flight...with 6 other people. Twice. Low price isn't enough when people are fearful. More bookings than cancellations is a turning point where fear gives way to reality.
They've been running that sale since early April. If it were just cheap fares, this headline would've happened by April 15th.
The government has done too good of a job scarring people.
Did you mean scaring people? There will be a number of people emotionally scarred by this. Not to mention 100K+ too dead to be scared.
LOL, we have 4% of the world's population and 30% of the Covid deaths, and even those are undercounted.
