They had a 'launch anomaly'. (The NewtonThree engine powered down three seconds after it started) Ground launching rockets isn't doing anything to help fight climate change. Using a 747 would be quite a bit better for the environment. A lot of the thrust to launch is wasted just trying to lift the fuel for the rocket.
Sad that it didn't go well, but like they said, how many other rockets failed too on their first launches, with far more catastrophic consequences.
I wish them luck on their next attempt. This is pretty exciting. Save real rockets for the 'big stuff'. And save more 747's from the scrap yard. Win-win!
