Flight instructor makes emergency landing in Georgia

Wow... Memories. A week after I switched flight schools, I found out that the 1950's Cessna I was going to be using had an oil leak, and fire -- in flight -- a couple of weeks after I switched. I was flying a weeks old Cessna 172, glass cockpit and all the trimmings, and it had that 'new plane smell'. I felt safer, and extra so after the fire, but that doesn't mean that everything was 'safe in the new plane, but would I want to buy a plane older than I am? Seriously?
