That location where the light poles are are well away from the taxiway. There is an area to park aircraft - oppose from the terminal area that WN uses. Why was the plane taxing there? Someone has a lot of explaining to do. If you go to Google Earth and zoom in on DEN, the north and smaller terminal concourse is Southwests. A bit further north you see the light poles and parking area.

Yea, a little dramatic. However, we do call them car crashes when they hit those poles. Judging by the two yellow lines I'm thinking his nose gear was not on the centerline. Bad day for this Captain.

They don't usually have light poles on the taxiway. They must have had a "rocky mountain high" moment.
