Visalia man arrested for attempted murder after trying to shoot down plane: Police
A Visalia man has been arrested for attempted murder after he tried to shoot down a plane, according to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. On Feb. 2, officers received a report from a local Agriculture Aviation Spraying Business that one of its planes had been struck by a bullet while in flight. As far as I am concerned this is attempted murder likely from an eco-freak. What if that bullet killed the pilot. Then you have a serous chemical hazard in a localized area. As well, this stunt had STUPID all over it. Another thoughtless human who felt their rights superseded the agricultural industry and the general food supply.

Why don't news writers understand that not everyone in the world knows where Vasalia or Tulare County is? Is it that much work to insert the state and country?
People post links to news stories and short excerpts under the Fair Use doctrine. They generally don't edit the headlines or excerpts for clarity, and many stories are meant for local audiences that know the geography.
Going to guess since the weather widget at the top of the page says "Fresno, CA" that it's nearby somewhere...?
