A FedEx pilot was arrested by Chinese authorities
New York (CNN Business)A FedEx pilot was recently detained by Chinese authorities in Guangzhou, a city in southern mainland China. It's the latest in an escalating conflict between the shipping company and the Chinese government. The Hong Kong-based pilot, Todd Hohn, was trying to board a commercial flight home after making a delivery to mainland China, when he was arrested after a luggage search, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing a family lawyer for Hohn. And to think I was planning a trip to Hong Kong this year. I'm staying away from China. Plenty of other places in the world. Not even going there to change planes.

We have 2 Canadian citizens on China's death row on trumped up charges because we executed an arrest warrant on a Huawei executive. China has been off my bucket list for decades.
The arrest was made at the request of the US government which then exasperated the situation by taking months to come up with the official extradition documents. Canada has been attacked with trade sanctions since and now the executive is fighting the court rulings and the Canadian government and judicial systems are dragging out the process at a huge cost to our farming, mining and manufacturing industries.
Is that "exacerbated?" "Exasperated" isn't a bad way of descibing it, though.
