These rare photos capture the Flight Deck (cockpit) of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, fully powered for one of the final times. Just a few weeks later, at 9:58am EDT on May 11, Endeavour was powered down for the final time in history. It was the last of the three space shuttles to have power. (www.launchphotography.com) 기타...
For as little time as the crew has to set in them 'under gravity'... it's not too bad. The remainder of the time, they are folded and out of the way! :)
Was lucky enough to see the Endeavour close up at the California Science Center LA, while touring USA from Australia. Truely awesome, incredible to be so close to this aircraft, knowing it had been into space and return 25 times. Such a shame, end of an era. Great picture of the cockpit. Thanks
Outstanding photos. Thanks for posting. Got to see the Endeavour in its new home at the California Science Museum in November. They did a great job setting it up. Very moving to see it in person. Everyone there was very respectful including many many kids on field trips for LA schools. Too bad it will never fly again.
With the the closure of the Shuttle program it was the first time in my lifetime the USA had NO space program. And I was born in 1960.. ON the day the Shuttle landed for the last time, this country went from "Can do" to "why should we"...Sad....
