Flight attendants' 'gut feeling' about passengers sparks human trafficking investigation

KITV4 is an ABC affiliate, not Fox News, who made the original report and sent out the Twitter and is running the story on their website. Better check again where this 'fake news' originated and it is not Bernie's fault that he pulled the news story off Fox.
I pulled it from FOX because the original link I had to the story on the Hawaiian News Network site was to the mobile web version that was very truncated, and the link to the regular HNN site version wasn't working, so I went shopping around to see what other news sites carried it and FOX was the first one in the Google results.
Bernie, nothing against your post and it is appreciated that stories like this can be shared with everyone on FA. The problem is we have some participants that want to trash anything that does not align with their political views - like Fox News. Many FA users are not impressed when the political comments start flying and eccsandiego appears to have been heading down that path and with incorrect information. Thanks and keep us informed.
If you follow the link to the Hawaiian channel KITV given in the foxnews.com report, it shows that everything actually checked out by the FBI, and there was NO human trafficking involved! Talk about “fake news”...
it is always good to verify and check stories,whether on a website or from other sources..FA is supposed to be for comments regarding aircraft,airline issues or anything regarding the aviation industry that might be of interest...
How would you suggest that this story could have been further verified? It came from multiple sources, the Hawaiian News Network, an ABC news affiliate, and FOX news. Three sources with the same story, amongst others that I didn't scroll down to when I Googled for a desktop link instead of a mobile phone link. Short of conducting my own investigation and interviewing everyone in person I don't see what more I could have done.
Bernie, I believe Mary may be referring to eccsandiego comments, since it is pretty plain that the comments posted were clearly attempting to be political in nature and was not an aviation related comment. We appreciate your candor with your reporting and appreciate the follow up you have provided. Thanks.
thank you tim for your defense of my comment..yes, I was merely saying that often people do complain on this site (which can be and is often informative as well)about things posted or commented on..
Mary, it should be noted that those of us on FA who use it for the purpose it was meant for, comments to aviation related articles and information. Almost always we will have our names on our posts so we are being responsible with our comments and have nothing to hide. I am just surprised that no one else has chimed in on this post string, but it is most likely for the best. Take care.
