American Airlines Workers Protest At Super Bowl XLV
Passengers flying into Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW) Airport for the Super Bowl, got the message, that not everything is so super at American Airlines when hundreds of TWU members and supporters picketed and leafleted during the Super Bowl Weekend. The public learned about the long-running contract dispute and corporate greed at American Airlines when they were handed informational flyers by TWU activists (avstop.com) 기타...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
BTW the verbiage in the article referenced here and quoted by me in my previous comment is right off of the AFL-CIO website.
Currently, cabin cleaners earn up to $21.16 an hour
I could "starve" on that salary.
Assuming a 40 hr work week, that's more than a lot of RJ PILOTS make in a year!
Gimme a break. Damn unions.

I’m not going get into the psychology of people who speak like this but could you live on $8.00 hr? Shame on you for trying to miss lead folks with "up to $21.16 hr" crap! Come on down to earth. You sound like a person who only cares about self. Are you sure, you’re in the right industry?
Did I assume right, you are a pilot? If you are, please leave some kind of sign on the cockpit door, so I know not to fly with you. Maybe you can put up an idiot sign or something.
I remember when they talked about raising ATC age limit. All the fruitcakes came out and said "now I won’t be able to get a job, shame on them, they should just go and retire."
Maybe you should Wikipedia the word union and educate yourself of the good that has come out of unions, such as worker rights, pay, etc. Na! Don’t waist your time. Maybe you should go work in a coalmine or an espestice factory then speak your anti whatever.
You are not where you are today (employee benefits) if it were not for the unions. Maybe you should learn the techniques of being a critical thinker! Just a quick 101 class for you at no charge. Politicians speak this anti union crap for big business (profits) and not for you the worker. And stop regurgitating someone else’s ignorance and pro business stance. PLEASE – I will have no more to say on this so lets leave it at that.

I am not a pilot (professionally), I run a business with over $600K per year payroll, so I do know a thing or two about unions, benefits, wages etc. If I was not in business and making a profit, how would the 150 plus peole I provide a living for survive? They'd be living of of YOU through the unemployment taxes that YOUR employer, along with me and everyone else's, pays everytime we all collect a paycheck. I'll say it again, damn unions...... Oh, and thank you for your silence instead of your regurgitating someone else's anti-business stance.

I wonder what these starving workers actually make, even now, after their 30% pay cuts? Just wondering.
