On several levels this merger actually makes sense. That doesn't mean it's going to easy on staff. ALPA will get tested and expect some operations chaos until the dust settles.
Doesn't matter to me. Never flew Spirit and stopped flying Frontier when it became a low cost airline.
I have never flown Spirit - just heard horrible stories about it, and haven’t flown Frontier in decades.
Yes, when First Data forced Frontier into bankruptcy, around 2008, that was the end of what was once a really good air carrier.
I'm always amazed with mergers of this sort. Somehow the execs think that when 2 turds come together it creates a diamond. Sadly, all you get is a bigger turd.
