This was the correct result, it makes no safety sense to have some 737s in a fleet with a different alerting system than other 737s. It would arguably decrease aviation safety overall.

If they did read it, they clearly didn’t comprehend what was said. Th truth is, with proper SOPs and training, the original design (while far from ideal) was workable. The upgrades that are being implemented will make a significant safety improvement.

Are the stab trim power switches still on the rear of the center console? If that is the case, there never was a problem with the airplane. It was a knowledge problem from the very beginning.

Greedy Boeing. Squeezing the maximum of an old refurbished plane. What is the cost of safety? So these models will go on running with 2 AoAs instead of 3, no EICAS, a very important device in all modern planes. Not to mention the contraption Boeing did on model 10 landing gears...all to avoid building a really modern aircraft like the 777...

Looks like Boeing have payed for another case to go there way, By not building safer aircraft. do they know that it is the 21st century. The European EASA still might foil there plans in Europe.

Boeing had better hope that there are no more accidents attributable to the Max with unmodified MCAS systems. I'm sure involved carriers are training for possible MCAS failure in the better run carriers, but I'm wondering about the carriers which are "less well run." Another accident would be a body blow to Boeing that they just can't afford to deal with.

Pretty sure there are no more “unmodified MCAS systems” out there, as all 737 MAX MCAS had to be modified before return to service after the grounding.

Ever see everyday driving on DashCam Lessons (& similar YT Channels), Bonehead Truckers, or American Truck Drivers on YouTube? I live in a College city w/200,000 locals, 38,000 College Students, & four major highways. I purchased a dash cam even though they’re not really legal in my state just for peace of mind should the need arise.

He's mistaken. They're legal in all 50, but some of them don't let you mount them on the windshield.

‘ It is not legal to have a camera affixed to one’s windshield in Alabama. State law prohibits the use of anything on the windshield that could obstruct the driver’s vision. According to Alabama Code section 32-5-215, no sign or material upon the front windshield or windows of a vehicle may obstruct the driver’s clear view of the highway. A driver may not mount a dash cam, GPS or smartphone device on the windshield. If the camera sits on the dashboard and does not obstruct the driver’s view, however, the law may permit it. A motorcyclist recording footage from his or her helmet, for example, would not break Alabama’s windshield obstruction law.
Dashboard cameras may also infringe upon privacy laws in Alabama. According to state law, it is illegal to record video footage or eavesdrop while trespassing in a private place. A dash cam could break this law if the driver is using it to secretly record the activities of another person on private property. Recording footage in public places, however, is legal. If a dash cam has audio, anyone within the vehicle whose voice the camera is recording must give his or her consent to the taping of the private conversation.’

It’s makes no sense multiplying the number of badly designed aircraft in revenue service. I hope EASA comes to a different conclusion. The legislators who promoted this and succeeded now have blood on their hands, and families of survivors know it.
