Dear media, Stop portraying aviation as an extremely dangerous way of travel. When even one thing goes out of the norm in aviation the news has to portray it as if it were a close call with death...I don't see this when people are messing up small things on a bus...I only hear about bus crashes(which by the way is considerably more dangerous than flying) when a ton of people have died, but when some plane gets its a malfunction and needs to land, that makes the news and is taken as if flying is somehow inherently dangerous...which it is not. I mean take a look at this website for example...see all the thousands of aircraft in the sky? Yeah these fly every day day in day out, and there have been less than 5 of these planes that have ended up killing everyone on board. Even when companies make extremely terrible mistakes, they don't show for at least a few years, that is how safe it is. Stop treating it as if a small joke, or an attitude, or locking a pilot out of a cockpit is life thre

Ok, has anyone thought that MH370 may not be in the water, but in the mountains instead? I mean I haven't heard any of the search going over the mountains surrounding the area, and if there was as much as an engine failure you would probably want to reach land, which would most certainly result in a cfit of some sort. It's even shown on those maps or whatever over the search area that they could have flown over land, so why not check, its not like they would be flying over total civilization the whole time.

I think it should be similar to eating in the cockpit, where one pilot can use a electronic device at cruise while the other moniters, and if anything goes wrong the pilot not flying must turn towards the cockpit and fix the problem. GoPros should be allowed for the most part, as long as they aren't directly in your face or blocking anything important. That is what I think should happen.

I have friends who are 15 and are able to fly amazingly well with experienced help. There have been many stories of young pilots being able to pull off major feats. Honestly if you can drive alone by 17 across crazy roads you should be able to fly in crazy places(with help if needed). Also with this airline pilot shortage coming up are we willing to take the chance of backing the age up?All of the situations had a experienced pilot with a yoke in front of them to help out when needed. Why didn't they come into action when they saw that the problem was near, or say "my controls" when they saw the situation was desperate. Honestly they were really the ones who crashed the plane, now you could say that when someone crashes with a learners permit in a car and that it being the fault of the driver is stupid because they were not in control, well in a plane there are two yokes, one for the young one, one for the experienced one. The second he sees something wrong he can easily take control of h

I am sorry I am really young and don't understand this well enough, is this going to lead to war?

I think I have a theory for what happened to malaysia airlines flight 370...I think it was an engine fire that spread into the cabin. The emergency was so quick that they forgot to request a mayday and were solely focused on bringing the aircraft to the ground. By the time they were ready to request a mayday they had fogotten the squawk code and were miles off course. By then it was too late and then the plane crashed into the indian as the fire consumed the aircraft.Yes I do know there are discrepancies with this, but there is something wrong with the triple 7s engines.

How do people believe that this is scary, that just seems goofy I mean there's really no harm(except on that jetblue flight). Maybe there is more to this, but It didn't open the door it just opened up in the cabin, I would be laughing if that happened to me, I have no idea why anyone would be scared except for the nervous flyers...
