Had the same question...what is fake??

A mom replacement A/C will be considerably lighter than a 878. 87's were built for extremely long haul and are very thick in order to get that lower pressurization. A 57/67 replacement doesn't have to have all the extra weight to carry the same amount of pax a shorter distance. I flew on a 572 last week...CLT to PHX on AA. I don't mind the 321 and its way late in the season to worry about heat in the desert, but it's certainly comforting to know you're on a plane that has enough power to get itself out of any sort of predicament and then some...and those powerplants are so great to listen to as they spool up and rocket outta dodge. I'll sure miss her...

Agree...absolutely not the exterior window. And with all due respect, regarding Toyota comment...what was meant by that?!? Have you owned a toyota..? My 2001 land cruiser has 362k miles and would guess it might have another 362K in her...so not sure that was the insulting metaphor you had hoped it would be.

Don’t disagree with all the sentiments here, but just got off a AA SFO-CLT red-eye and it wasn’t terrible. Most of the time I will either pay for the up-front seat and occasionally get upgraded, but wasn’t available last night and I didn’t mind at all. I think the worst part of flying these days is the disdain everyone has going in to it. I love flying, wish I did it professionally but content with life (other than the 10 seconds when I step on the a/c and have to go right instead of left). I still always book a window seat and track flights in hopes of seeing another a/c closely zoom by at almost 1000 knots. I’m still amazed at the idea of what we are doing, how high we are doing it and how quickly we get there. Ftr- I’m 6’ and 223. I have some weight to lose, to be sure and I much prefer the front 6 rows...but enjoy the journey just as much from row 28, as long as I have a window seat.

I think you answered your own question...though, if ever a 77x lands on a aircraft carrier, you will have a huge “told you so” in your back pocket.

I believe that Westjet got their Disney themed idea from AS, who has had a disneyland plane for alot longer...though, the AS Salmon-thirty-seven is my personal favorite of their themed planes.

Is it known what delta truly paid per aircraft?

I looked on google earth and the plane is flying perpendicular to the runway and away from it when it hit the tree. Its at about the midpoint of the runway as well...tough to figure out. Look like full flaps are still out...What caused the plane to veer left or right 90 degrees in what would appear to be seconds after declaring a go-around..? There is a large home with a pool behind the wall of trees just to the right of the parking lot. This could have been alot worse. The way that tree caught it and put it down...the pilot just wasnt supposed to die that day, i guess..?!?

These are absolutely not real. Everyone is so fired up about fake news. Spend a little time looking at the pics. First of all, the red dot isnt even a good attempt at being a real ball. Then, just look at the series...unless the ball had the ability to speed up, slow down, change its mass and hover, this just isnt possible. And finally, a dirty 767..? The balls seems to get more altitude as the plane passes. To the poster leaving all the comments about her friend being the photographer...I saw the first 4 you left, dont worry about a 5th...
