You know not every little dinky upset that happens in aviation - some of which happen every day - rates a squawk. Some of these things are mindless. Their terrifyingness is only created by the media who thinks everyone on the plane is going to die if the screens went blank, a plane had a hard landing, some upset idiot (drunk) passenger got outta hand and had to be restrained, a plane slides off the runway in icy conditions. These are virtually everyday occurrences in North America, and don't rate a squawk. They are only a big deal because the media gets a hold of them and exaggerates or magnifies their severity. I would recommend that YOU don't do that also.

errrr, helloe....click off and fly manually...? WTF these Asian airlines seem to be mindlessly glued to the automation and cannot release it. This is a 10-year history pattern.

It is just as true today as it was on the 9th of August, 1945: PEACE - through superior firepower.

Passenger Martinez needs to pay more attention to the pre-flight safety briefing and the descriptive briefing card in the seat back in front of him, to apply and use the oxygen mask correctly.

There are huge benefits to areas of this world that are not covered by ground-based radar - e.g. most of Northern Canada. Not only the accuracy of the platform, the immediacy, and the selectivity available to controllers, but the availability of flight-following to smaller companies in remote areas. It will definitely revolutionize traffic separation and flight following.

It's already part of the price we pay for a ticket, linbb. What's next? Dry-cleaning of the seat covers, groomers, uniforms for crew, in-flight magazine...when does it stop? It's limited only by the creativity of the money grabbers. ANYTHING done electronically should be without charge. Only charges for human intervention can be justified. We should just get an all-inclusive price for a ticket and that's it....walk onto the plane and go. All these extra charges are a total rip off AFAIAC. Look at the amount, size, and weight of carry-on-baggage these days. People trying to escape baggage fees bringing 30-45 lb baggage onto the plane, that you can't even roll up the aisle. What happened to the 9x16x20 12 lbs max, and things you need in-flight...? That used to be the rules.
