Flew MSP/FLL/MSP on their current MAX in March. The bulkheads in the MAX are deep into the windows and then extend out. On both flights I had a bulkhead and I was literally squashed between the bulkhead and the passenger next to me. Hopefully Delta will align their seats so that they match the window wells. I too will choose other aircraft as those two flights were the most uncomfortable ever.

When you look at the number of seats in economy versus the number of seats in business, yes, the economics dictate that those at the front are paying the bulk of the flight cost. However, without the economy class section, the front of the plane would not be viable on its own. If I remember correctly the minimum seat leg space was 34" as dictated by IATA. What ever happened to change that? people are getting very fed up with cattle-car treatment, especially with higher fares, and airlines can expect a reaction from their passengers going forward. Flight is an amazing way to travel, but comfort and a sense of decency should also be recognized for we, the plebs, in the back rows. Recently on a BA flight LUX-LHR the crew announced that business class passengers would be served lunch, those in economy would receive water and a snack. Bread and water for those of you in the dungeon????? C'mon airlines, smarten up before its too late.

Recently flew Boeing 737-9 MSP-FLL-MSP in economy. If they intend to pack the 10 as they have the 9, I'll be looking for another airline.

Beg pardon Sir! If I wish to wear a mask when I travel it is none of your business!

Memories of having flown trans Atlantic on 707's and DC-8's before the advent of the Queen of the skies, were brightened the first time I boarded a 747. Wow! Space and room and a double aisle to walk around to keep the leg cramps at bay. Yesterday I flew a Max-9 from FLL to MSP. The window was forward of my seat so I was beside the bulging wall. Guy in the middle seat was also my build so ended up flying sideways in my seat so we could fit. The thought of a trans Atlantic flight on one of those was a horrible thought. I would reroute to get a wide body even if it made for an extra connection. Airlines market their "popular seating plan" to airlines, not to passengers. No trans-Atlantic on a narrow body for this guy thank you very much.

I really can't be sad. The worst flights I've flown were on Alitalia. Snarky crew, crappy food and pilots, who were above everyone else in their own minds, who never made an announcement. Over Montreal en route FCO-YYZ we dropped thousands of feet. Flight crew hurt, no announcement, just ignore the passengers. Hopefully the new carrier will be better, but I will wait a while to see how they are doing before I book on to them.

I think it is just a matter of time before we have such configurations on the Atlantic. With slot overcrowding the LHR-NYC will probably be there soon. First and Business will be on smaller aircraft to offer more exclusivity. Get ready to moo! Cattle cars they be a comin'!

As a Canadian, I am angry to see this announcement from Boeing/Embraer right on the tail of Boeing's challenge to the entry of Bombardier's C Series into the U.S. Boeing has not had an aircraft with the capacity of the C Series jets since the 737-100, and yet it claimed Bombardier were competition. Bullshit, Boeing. Now the truth emerges with Boeing wanting to get Embraer. So, put a block on Bombardier so we can get a head start with Embraer, is that it Boeing? I used to like your company, your tactics are abusive and destructive. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Hope the Brazilian Government see through your schemes.
