I think the key word on your comment is "due course" This tragedy will drag on and on for years with no concern for the families of the victims. How about changing the rules? have both the airline and Boeing put about $500 million each into an account, divide it among the victims families and when they come up with the answer ask the families to give a portion back. Use the same lawyers discussing the tragedy and representing the airline and Boeing to determine how much each family should give back. We might see a faster solution.

Are these facts or speculations?

Money, money, money. Lawyers and huge corporations, all feeding at the trough of swill and spoils of a tragedy. The average person has no clue what is going on, and no opportunity to be heard or truly represented. We have evolved into a culture that has no relationship to the value of life or the loss and distress to the families and friends of the victims of this incident.

As I read these announcements provided by Flight Aware I am increasingly alarmed at the cavalier attitude of the airline manufacturing entities and the inability of the FAA in protecting the flying public. Driving my car is at least under my control. International flights are completely out of the question.

Live data may prevent the same problem from reoccurring, what about the cost of hunting endlessly for black boxes?

The public should expect no less than live tracking. Ticket price should see no increase, cost should be paid for out of the fuel tax that is already being paid for by the airline. The passenger is already being victimized by the airlines, safety is the responsibility of the airline and by the governments of the subsidized airlines. Many of the fixed costs are in place and the safety issue should not be one more excuse to rape the flying passenger.

It's not just American, all the domestic airlines have become an embarrassment. I drive my car, I would much rather drive than fight the rude, arrogant airlines. I stopped flying about 6 years ago, I had enough of the attitude toward passengers. I do have to fly when traveling internationally and I try to fly an American carrier. However even airlines such as Turkish Air out perform our carriers. I am not an advocate of more controls but the lobbyists have the government in their pockets. Bribery is alive and well in Washington D.C

Nevada has Whore houses and more crime cartels than you can count, and you are worried about an article in an "English Newspaper" and kick up a fuss because this plane carcass has to wait on a permit? Get a life Nevada!

Wow, the wonderfully informative Daily Mail considers this newsworthy?
