Thanks George for your thoughts…but I’m not the one confused here. In the case of college debt, the actual plan, if implemented will put billions back into the economy when these little people who got duped by ersatz online ‘universities’ (often little more than a mailbox and completely automated and auto-graded online “thin learning” nonsense…generating nearly worthless newly invented majors such as ‘assistant services manager’ or whatever) are finally able to get back on their feet. The commodification of higher education by cheesy profiteers is the real culprit here…they should be exposed and shut down. So no, I don’t think Biden did anything wrong. Next, we know how much silly Wealthfare goes to the country club, mostly Republican fat cats who pay few taxes and live off of government payments in the form of tax expenditures (write offs) for golf outings, lift tickets, exclusive off the grid hunting lodges, corporate jet subsidies (the most polluting form of travel per passenger mile

Re comments blaming Buttijieg…here we go again. Trump (this time) and before him prior conservative administrations have either turned back regulations meant to protect consumer safety or failed to enforce them when they should have…by not replacing retiring inspectors, slow playing new hires, refusing to bring cases to court and dozens of little paperwork tactics to assure unfettered ‘game on’ profit taking any chance they get…historically re. automotive safety, child crib safety, flame retardant bedding and pjs, safe drinking water in some locales, truck and river shipping standards, and most recently the horrible freight train disaster in Ohio….all preventable via existing regs but made impotent by those living off of the industry lobbyists on K Street in D.C. same thing happens at state and local level. The whole border crossing disaster could have been easily solved if there had been honest discussions out in the open about the Jolly Green Giant type agribusinesses and chicken pl

What a convoluted chain of reasoning we get from our little Maga bubbas… I’ll take good ol’ slow moving Joe over Captain Chaos (Trump) any day.

AA’s troubles inheriting TWAs legacy debts started their downhill slide decades ago. Their lack of competitive management has exactly zilch to do with politics in CA or anywhere else. Amazes me how folks who obviously quit reading in the fifth grade glom onto these silly media tropes about red state or blue state politics to explain away topics they are so uninformed about. Sad really.

We’ve seen more ‘disruptive’ behavior across the board…not just on airplanes…but all manner of transportation, behavior in public events, sports arenas, road ragers….add to this folks with pistols stuffed down their pants and filled with rage from online conspiracy and fake fact sites and it’s like one big scene from ‘Escape from NYC’ movie..with all these bubbas feeling aggrieved or ripped off and egged on by vote-seeker politicians who don’t want to discuss what’s really happening here in the U.S. but also around the world as limited access to increasingly scarce resources is driving events.

Given the new electronic computer driven monitoring capacities built into millions of new cars and trucks, I wonder how long it will be until we start reading the same kinds of comments about folks becoming dependent on these automated systems as well. True, they won’t be 30,000 ft up, going hundreds of mph, carrying hundreds of others…but the sheer number of drivers will perhaps amount to an equivalent amount of trouble. Do we then blame the drivers themselves, the manufacturers, the politicians who take bribes (campaign contributions) from those making big bucks from the sales involved, the automakers unions? My mother, deceased in 2013, told the story of her time as an elevator operator in a department store when the company installed push button lifts and some folks didn’t want to step on without a ‘driver’. Believe it or not, world wide even with mandatory inspections, there are still malfunctions in elevator circuit boards that cause trouble. Dependency on technology is an interes

Way too many investors in the fossil fuel industries still dominate economies all over the world and will likely continue to do so until population growth (not necessarily related to types of fuel consumed) reaches a tipping point and zillions of hungry and thirsty have nots begin massive relocation away from receding shorelines and toward higher elevations requiring so much more polluting fuel burning that mass health crises including poisoned air (that is currently being consumed by about 20% of the have nots already) overtakes damn near the whole planet. Great grand children of some of us among the ‘haves’ will be asking themselves why those of us who knew better sat on our collective hind ends and watched the world slowly rot away. I’m personally leaving my notes, such as this one, in a capsule to be opened by my kids kids kids in the 22nd century so they’ll be aware of their family legacy as they walked around breathing portable oxygen. ð´

More sad news about the state of our violent society. It’s like we’re living in a huge version of an ‘Escape from New York’ movie… whacko nuts running wild, teens armed with assault weapons, pistols stuffed down peoples pants, ear lobes all stretched out, beads punctured through tongues…I feel sorry for anyone stuck in a position of responsibility having to put up with these fruit loops. Airline employees, law enforcement, teachers, crossing guards, you name it…it’s Halloween 365 24/7. It used to be we put federal agent on planes to protect us from foreign terrorists…maybe we need them again to protect us from the domestic nut factor.
