Well there is scope for research in this area I guess. If system is turned off from the cock pit some redundancy measures could be looked at like perhaps the engine Canbus linked to a remote frame which progressively geofences its path once its crossed...just an idea!

But you've got to eat sometime so the mask will come off anyway even if its momentary. The air in the cabin is circulating all the time so only self discipline and checks will stem the spread.

Must have been a terrifying experience. Probably worse than getting caught in a storm which one can fly around.A reminder to all, that keeping seat belts on during the flight may be uncomfortable but worth it.For a craft the size of a B777 it must have been a whopping G force. Glad it passed of as an incident.
