No brainer really Charleston is and has been one of the best places in USA to work and live .A fantastic climate on the ocean Great educational and heath care low crime and the culinary capital of the USA . When Nikki Haley persuaded Boeing to come to Charleston she knew eventually it would become the main hub for production in the future .The quality of life low taxes and property prices would make it easy for key key workers to move in a heartbeat. And the lack of union power of course make decisions easier to plan . The acquisition of vast swaths of land around Charleston airport by Boeing indicates this has been in their planning for some time

I understand BA have done the same and just using 747 s for freight and mothballed 380s gossip is that BA 747s will never be used for passengers again . As BA finished paying for them years ago it’s no big deal with more efficient aircraft available from defunct airlines after the current conditions are over .

Brilliant governor of SC her crisis management is amazing and was responsible for Boeing coming to Charleston. Tipped by many to be the next president of USA .She doesn’t take fools lightly and the inept Boeing board have lost the only person capable of turning round Boeing . Excellent ambassador at the UN . A sure bet to be a major politician in the future

What next ? The FAA are now questioning the wiring of the max . The ongoing problems are only ensuring the paying public won’t fly on it . Rebadging will be stopped by smart attorneys who will claim deceit and deception By the time settlement is made to its customers Boeing will be in financial meltdown With the possibility of tariffs being dropped by the USA on airbus products very shortly Airbus must be wishing they could make more aircraft

Really do airlines think the flying public fell out of coconut trees and will just fly on the max . No chance ! The media will ensure the public will know which airlines have the max and customers will choice other carriers. changing the name ? You seem to forget airbus have such a backlog of orders they couldn’t and don’t really need disgruntled Boeing clients by the time they could fulfil their requirements (don’t forget existing airbus clients have priority) It is likely we will be flying to the moon !!!
