Emirates says a new route from Dubai to Panama City set to begin in 2016 will set a new world record for the longest flight at more than 17.5 hours. Emirates Airlines is planning on setting a new world record in February 2016 with flights between Dubai and Panama City. The company said the connection will result in the longest non-stop flight in the world, needing 17 hours and 35 minutes to cover the 13,821 kilometres. Yet another foolish idiot played up on a flight across the Tasman. I cannot believe how a thug like this can do this to another passenger seated in front of him. There is no excuse for such abuse towards another passenger and crew members. NZ871 from NZWN/WLG to YBBN/BNE was at FL13000FT on decent approach into Brisbane when a drunken boozed up passenger stared kicking forcing his foot onto another passengers chair as it was not in the up right position. In the Australian Sunday mail paper today on of the many passengers killed aboard MH17 over Ukraine was finally given a farewell ceremony a year after the incident. A Texas woman claims United airline refused to honour a $656 (US$450) US to NZ return ticket she tried to book through its website. The ceo Christoper Luxton for anz has said that the two last remaining Boeing 737-319's that are due to be retired 2015. Anz will continue with the Boeing family and has ordered 15 new Gen Boeing 737 Neo jets which will enter service staring in 2016. In the long run the airline is looking at fuel economy and with the new B789'S entering the fleet which replaced the big heavies the B744'S this will bring more innovation and better seating for passenger comfort.
