The key here is training. I've been there and done that. We train for these approachs and rarely perform them. In my 5 years on teh 76 and 2 years on the 77 I might have completed 4 Cat IIIs. The taxi in is the hardest part, because we had no GPS ground display to work with. The SR22 I flew did a better job on taxi in!!

I put a 767 into MXP several years ago in similar conditions......got lost on taxi because the vis was worse taxing in...could see maybe two centerline taxiway lights. Found the parking positons finally after completing a u turn on a cul de sac ramp! The flying is easier than the taxi!

I can understand his concern, but not his actions. I had a neighbor who returned from overseas and sat next to a coughing lady. Two days later, at home, he became sick and died 3 days later at a major hospital of an undetermined respiratory illness.
