What airline fees are coming next?
It used to be death and taxes were the only certainties in life, but in recent years more and higher airline fees have become a lock as well. (travel.usatoday.com) 기타...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
well, it ain't been that long ago that pay toilets were everywhere. Now they are incorporated in those various aiport fees that make up a ticket price. As many have said below. You get what you pay for so get used to it. Everything costs money and a company cannot give away stuff and stay in business. That's called going broke.
Whine - Whine - Whine
The traveling public begs for lower airfares, point out that there are many items on the all services that the inclusive ticket price covers. "I just want a seat to go from A to B". OK here is the fare for just the seat. Oh you have a 60 pound bag to check? Oh, you want dinner? Oh, you want to carry on that 40 pound travel bag? Oh, you want a lap baby space?
Come on folks - you get what you pay for. Don't want checked baggage fees, don't pack a checked bag!!! Don't want assigned seating, then don't ask to be seated in 12A exit row. With the feed schedule, pick and chose what you are willing to pay for.
OR we could go back to the full service ticket and get to bitch about the rubber chicken again. Pay extra to the food box and get rubber chicken - I guess you can take that up with the catering company.
I guess the media needs to make stories to sell their "paper". Creating controversy is a good way to do this.
Casual travelers want bus ticket prices and Clipper services. Like I wrote above - Ya get what Ya pay for.

I too am tired of people whining when they can't get everything for free. Stuff costs money people...you REALLY want it? Be willing to pay for it. If not, stop your complaining. Those of us who are seasoned travelers have figured out how to deal with it already...it's called upgrading.
I would rather deal with this---> OR we could go back to the full service ticket and get to bitch about the rubber chicken again. Pay extra to the food box and get rubber chicken - I guess you can take that up with the catering company.
Than have to be fleeced for buying things that the airline tickets is already supposed to pay for....
The travelling public has just been brainwashed into an A LA Carte mind set...

A couple things....
1. If you were a CEO of an airline that operated 5,000 plus flights everyday worldwide. 80,000 plus employees worldwide, deal with labor unions on a daily bases, and handle an over reaching FAA. You'd want more than $20k a year!!!
2. If the CEO tood home NOTHING. Airlines would still be in bankrupty.
All these occupy wall street types can go pound sand!

The problem is that the CEO doesnt deal with the FAA or the technical aspects of the operations, thats what his company departmernts are for...Most CEOs wouldnt know FAA Regs of they came and bit them on the butts....And thats why some CEOs get bit in the butts..
CEOs certainly make more money than they should....Pilots and Flight Attendants are a different story. Being in command of a multi million dollar piece of equipmet calls for a high salary.
As for the rest of the airline employees like Maintenance, Ground handling, Station agents, etc....Watch how fast an airline shuts down if Baggage Handlers decide to do a work stoppage...
I no Wall Street Occupy idiot, but I do believe that employees that work hard and are part of a big company such as an airline should be paid what they are worth rather than close to the minimum wage...Without all the little guys, the big guys are without a job....

I think everyone should get paid more. I am a pilot, I make crap for what i do.
thats total b/s
