I don't think I have ever seen that angle in a picture before, nice capture!
No second guessing on this shot , just perfect . A record 6 photos of the a 225.Was at mco this week also . 6/12/20
Looks like it has "shoulder blades"
Hi Al, the original intention for the aircraft was to carry the Russian space shuttle 'Buran' which it did for a while until the shuttle program was abandoned. The 'shoulder blades' were part of the mounting for the shuttle.
Magnificent!! Excellent capture!
It almost looks alien. What a great shot of that monster!
great shot love the angle you chose.
put my heart in my throat

top shot !well done ! i know the path you are walking !
Maybe they should "remove" or somehow design those Former Space Shuttle Carrying "Humps" So that can can either be completely removed, or possibly reattached if the Shuttle Program ever started again in Russia. very Similarly to the Roof-Rack on my truck,, Removing something even seemingly small and "unimportant" causes a massive difference in air flow and drag, and in turn..... Gas Mileage somewhere in the Plus or Minus 2-5 mpg range depending on distance, speed and weather.. But if i actually need the rack,,, i can always just re-attach them. I can only imagine the difference it would make on the AN-225 drag and Max Range if they were removed or re engineered to be removable for most flights. Im betting it would make a MASSIVE difference possibly almost as much as adding Boeing 737NG. 757 or Airbus 320NEO type Winglets to the AN-225 would make.
