Boeing 727-100 (VH-RMS)

What a fantastic shot, including with the Trans Australia Airlines DC3 in the foreground. RMS was a B727 series 100QC for Quick Change into cargo configuration. The port side cargo door can be seen forward of the wing root. Her sister RMT was also a QC series 100. Ansett operated the 727 direct from Brisbane BNE to Port Moresby POM. No GPS or even an IRS Inertial Nav in 1974. Note the cracked forward cabin door for tropical cooling...the Owen Stanley mountains are up to 15,000feet.
