Looks A-OK to me, T. This was taken back when aircraft photography wasn't popular ... in other words, when taking photos wasn't easy. That's exactly why pics like yours here are so valuable; back then, taking decent photos took time, effort, a degree of photographic knowledge, and $$$. Today, anyone from preteen and older can get one of those cheap Iphones or Ipads and take pics, and all they have to know how to do is turn it on and point it (and there are some who can't even do the "point it" part very well) and let the "camera" do all the work. And even if they end up with garbage shots, they just let PS (or some similar program) do the work of taking a crummy pic and turning it into something it never actually was. So don't put down the result of your scan of this old print; there are plenty of FA viewers who appreciate the view of aviation history you are sharing with us. (And a few are just upset because this pic makes them realize they don't know what a "Minolta" is ... lol.)

Gary... you are absolutely right... and I sure know what a "Minolta" is and was from my time shooting during those halcyon days of 35mm photography! They were known to be very fine cameras with exceptionally high quality "glass"!

TYVM Gman for the kind comments! I am that old??? LOL..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 * on the comments..
cliff731 - I was a diehard Minolta fan from the 1st days - always a reliable camera.

Tom... thanks much for the reply. I did enjoy reading that!

I started with a Yashica TL 35mm and ended up shooting with a Pentax MX 35mm some years later... :-)

However, I was always well aware of Minolta's highly regarded quality construction and durability along with the top-notch reputation of the Minolta lenses!!!

wow, Cliff, my older Cousin had a Yashica, he liked it, Took it with him in the USN 1970s and got some great pics on the Carrier he gave to me eventually. Fellow air photogs in San Jose I knew for years used Pentax also, and I was Minolta man! So you had the right cam! Thanks.

Tom, you're most welcome... and thanks for the kind words!!! All three brands were great in their day... and only Pentax has survived, albeit, now owned by Ricoh. :-)

Thx Cliff, my only wish is digital would have come along sooner. The negatives I have in envelopes in boxes in the garage from the 1960s to 2003 need some editing. I thought about getting a negative scanner, but if I do, I'll be on it every night, and you know who will not like that!
cliff731
Tom, you're welcome and it took me a while to get aboard the "digital photo" wagon... but I do enjoy digital photography for the more immediate results and control it offers, plus seemingly unlimited exposures as can be captured without reloading another 35mm film canister! I have a tall stack of full Kodak Carousel slide trays here with older aircraft photos in these... and want a quality slide/negative scanner! You are right about that time statement too!!!

Thx Cliff, I bought a slide converter that attaches to the front of my camera, tube like device, and it load 3 slides at once, but it is a cheapy model, and I get decent results and onto the scandisk card & download right away. Many of my photos on here are slides, and they didn't come out too bad. Search digital slide duplicator? may find one....mine was about 59.00 + CA tax.
cliff731
Thanks again, Tom... I'll go look for one of those slide converters!!! :-)

Your results look good to me!
