McDonnell Douglas DC-8-70 (N8072U) - KSFO - CN: 45812 LN:277 on taxi to Runway 1R at San Francisco. Most likely headed to Chicago, this DC-8-71 shows new as a -61 and damaged before delivery 12/31/1966. United took delv of this jet Feb 17th, 1968 and was converted in 1984 to a -71. This photo was taken along Airport Rd when the dirt parking lots were here and we could park here for hours. Photo date apprx Summer late 1980s or 1990. This was the best slide out of 10 that wasnt real dusty. Color slide converted to digital.
