Grumman E-2 Hawkeye (16-4355)
An NSAWC E-2C Hawkeye moves on taxiway Bravo toward runway 31L at NAS Fallon. This was the last of three Hawkeyes and the last aircraft of a massive 36-warbird launch for an afternoon TOPGUN training exercise. The continual line of taxiing and departing military ironbirds had to be seen to be believed; in fact, I was there and I still could not really believe it: Tigers, Vipers, Hawkeyes, Hornets, Super Bugs, Growlers, and even a P-8. There were even three CAG birds in the line. I just kept snapping the shutter.

A very nice capture of a "Hawkeye" at NAS Fallon. The Navy has approved the production of the new E-2D. I will look forward to seeing your capture of one of these new "Hawkeyes".
Gary M, Howdy. great to see you here on FA and Thanks for your comment.
(As you are a member, take a quick look at my photo of an American MD climbing out over Mt. Rose. It is an old one taken several years ago with my old P&S, but check it out. It is only 70 "views" away from having 100,000 "views." I am in shock. FA is the absolute BEST aircraft site on the web. Do you know that way back in 2007, 2008 and 2009, JP rejected 50 of my submissions even tho I constantly tried to apply their suggestions and I only submitted the choicest shots. I only appealed ONCE (rejection #50), and one of their super snobby screeners wrote back that I should try learning how to take aircraft pictures. Well, FA accepted my submissions and even selected some as worthy of including on their emails, etc., and now I've got one that is about to do what only 55 others have ever done so far ... get 100,000 "views." I owe everyone at FA a debt I can never repay for accepting my pics on their site. If I lived in Houston or if I could work from here, I'd work for FA for free. (I'm retired; tons of free time and I'm devoted to FA.) And if JP ever folds its tent, I'll be filled with glee.
