Embraer ERJ-135 (N261JX)
Noon hour (12:37) arrival from downstate (KLAS).
Comments
Like many, many other places in the U.S. and on the planet, Reno is baking under a heat wave. The temp on the open runways, taxiways, and parking aprons was 114 degrees F as JSX's Embraer was landing and the hottest hours of the afternoon (around 2-3 PM) were yet to come. About 40 minutes after this pic was taken, N261JX taxied to Runway 16L to depart for the return trip to Las V, but a ground stop there and then a flow time assignment kept this jet sitting out at the north end of Charlie taxiway for over 35 minutes waiting to go. It finally was cleared to take off at 2:04 PM.
