This is an Air France Airbus 330-200 with 224 passenger capacity, landing at the Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM. The airport is located on the Dutch side of the island, in the country of Sint Maarten, close to the shore of Simpson Bay Lagoon.d. The runway is about 500 feet away from the beach and separated from the airport fence by a two lane highway. This is one of the world's most photographed spots where jets up to KLMs 747-8 are seen wheels down for landing over the heads of gaping tourists. The airport, with only 14 ft elevation, has very low-altitude flyover landing approaches because one end of its only runway (10-28)is extremely close to the shore and Maho Beach.
