Wow. I remember working on these when I first started working for British Airways. In particular I remember climbing through a hatch in the “s” duct to get to the front of number 2 engine. I doubt if I’d fit these days :-)).

I remember flying on the L-1011 going for my interview with Eastern way back in the 80's. Super nice aircraft with real inflight service.

Dan Nelson, no, no Tristars in service apart from the Orbital Sciences/Northrup L-1011 Tristar which occasionally does rocket - satellite launches. Seldom fly's, but that's it.
