Lockheed L-1011 TriStar (N335EA)
Comments
Wow. I remember working on these when I first started working for British Airways. In particular I remember climbing through a hatch in the “s” duct to get to the front of number 2 engine. I doubt if I’d fit these days :-)).
Thanks for the memories.
Thanks for the memories.
I remember working on this specific airplane in Miami when it was brand new.
Beautiful airplane. My dad retired as a Captain from EAL flying the L-1011.
Oldie but goodie
Are there any still in service?
Had the pleasure to fly on this model plane a handful of times and they were comfortable and looked tough and well put together !
Three words: Classic, Classic, Classic. Thanks for sharing that photo.
I remember flying on the L-1011 going for my interview with Eastern way back in the 80's. Super nice aircraft with real inflight service.
Flew Air Canada YUL-YYC in 1975 on this marvelous plane. First flight in a widebody aircraft.
tks for all comments friends. Best Regards
Sorry Dan Nelson,,, I don´t know about a plane like this still flying.
Dan Nelson, no, no Tristars in service apart from the Orbital Sciences/Northrup L-1011 Tristar which occasionally does rocket - satellite launches. Seldom fly's, but that's it.
A plane that size at LGA was always an adventure...
