This plane seems to me a challenge to the aerodynamics laws... anyway lovely picture of this big whale..

The first of these flew in 1995, based on an A300-600st. The nose hinges up at the front, you can see the line of it's opening in the photo. Used for extra large cargoes. NASA has some similar ones but with 4 prop engines called Guppies, for transporting large sections of spacecraft.

@BL Goodman this plne is used by Airbus indusry to carry part of plnes from a factory to another one.. everywhere in Europe..or else. It is the little brother of the Guppy and SuperGuppy.. used for the same use.. I guess they have 747's in the States for similar uses.

This Beluga XL is used for transportation aircraft fuselage or wings from Touluse to Hamburg-Finkenwerder or other manufacturing sites. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 700. The design is derived from Airbus A330-300, the front part, due to airodynamic reasons from the A330-200.
