EPIC !
Beautiful BUFF!
They still invoke awe when they fly over!
Looks like an H model. Flew on C's and D's during Nam out of U-Tapao. ECM we jam the SAM!!
Iconic!
I wonder whether they can convert it to four engines instead of twice the maintenance eight engines.
I would imagine that with the high wing configuration four big fans are possible.
However, the loading of bombs may require enough clearance under the wings to force the placement of eight smaller fans.
Talk is that the G & H airframes will serve on active and reserve duty in excess of 100 years, or, a Century Aircraft.
Meanwhile, superb photograph of such and ominous weapon of warfare.

Still an awesome aircraft. Such a totally different "vibe" you get when you see a BUFF fly over versus the B2...sort of thundering power versus other-worldliness. Flew 3000 hours in the G model which, I think, have all been retired.
I saw this fly over my house!! What a sound!!
You bet Pete, there are nothing but H models still in service.
Beautifull, excellent airplane
Beautiful airplane
great picture of an awesome aircraft.
I still remember seeing the B-52 fly in and out of Biggs Air Force Base, when it was a SAC Base, and over our barracks at Fort Bliss Army Base in 1958.
Years ago '52's of earlier models flew out of Loring AFB in northern Maine. I was 17 or 18 then and the bombers were smoky and 'new'. It's hard to believe that they are still 'combat ready' in the more modern G or H airframes.
In this world of 'planned obsolesce' it is humbling to witness the compelling fact that need and ingenuity kept these birds part of our first tier weapons.

holy wow!
Just wait,(be patient) when you see the "new & improved" B-52!
Robert Mills Jr. “I wonder whether they can convert it to four engines instead of twice the maintenance eight engines.”
An engine-out with four would require more rudder authority than with eight to counter adverse yaw. Maybe the B52 couldn’t do that?
