This Phantom was delivered new directly to the Thunderbirds from the McDonnell factory in St. Louis. Amazing, at that time both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds flew factory fresh F-4Js and Es respectively, now both teams fly older air frames that much more worn down when they arrive to the teams
