I know the quality is bad, but I need help identifying the helicopter. there were two of them and they were flying west to east. it says "US Government" on the side.

peterjp5 - your photo captures a Bell UH-1N Iroquois "Twin Huey" of the United States Air Force. Identically painted and marked UH-1N helicopters are assigned to the 11th Wing (11 AW) at Joint Base Andrews. This might be one of those. On the tail of the fuselage is "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".

Thank you! i believe that's what it is. but how did they get all the way to Kansas City? any thoughts would be appreciated.

peterjp5... it's possible the Air Force uses the same "livery" as you see on this specific type Bell helicopter at other Air Force installations.

Just saying!!! :-)

As I understand, these "Twin Hueys" as so "painted" are used for personnel transport... likely for VIP passengers!
