WACO OHIO YMF (N11247)
Comments
Sam, this is the earlier Waco QCF-2 and not the YMF-5 that came later and is still manufactured today.
The Q identifies the Continental engine, in this case a W670 of 220 HP, the C designates the airframe and the F is the series.
Ask any Waco fan and most will say the F-2 series is one of the most sought after Waco's.
This one also has the rare Curtiss Reed prop, which is a work of art in metal.
Nice photo of a Waco where it belongs, on grass.

Come up to buffalo Jim, I'll show you around the little grass strips like Mesmer field and flying j field.
