Employee's lack of training caused damage to my plane, unprofessional staff, and management/owners only care about your money! After stopping for fuel and finding our battery needed a jump, their young lineman put a 28V charge to my 12V Cessna causing my battery to explode and killing the starter. While trying to get help from the manager via phone call, who didn't even apologize nor offer any help other than waiving their ramp fee (really??!!), their receptionist didn't tell us she was leaving for the day and locked us in their lobby. We had to push out the emergency door. We were stranded for over 7 hours while we found our own way home. The ONLY good thing about this experience was that the senior line man, Ryan from Million Air, was exceptional, was very apologetic about our experience, and tried to help the best he could. That guy deserves to work for people that care as much as he does about customer service. Anyways, over a week later and over $3,500 in repairs and expenses due to their negligence, not to mention time missed from work, I returned for my plane. The owner of Executive Air (also owner of Million Air Tucson) refused to accept any liability for the damage his employee caused, saying they were only being "Good Samaritans" by giving us a jump so they shouldn't be blamed. Last I checked they are a for-profit business that charges people for their services?? When returning for my plane, I was sickened to hear over their radio one employee saying to another, "Oh yeah! Bring me the money!" as another plane taxied up for fuel. While their website states that they employ industry "...trained line staff” that would attend “every need in a safe and fast manner”, the owner was not willing to uphold his word nor do the right thing by paying for the damages and expense his untrained employee caused, forcing me to now fight him in court. Do yourself a HUGE favor and help your aviation friends by spreading the word - STAY AWAY!! | |||
